The “Women in ESG and Sustainability Symposium” (WESS) took place on Saturday, 15 February 2025, at The Meru Sanur in Bali, uniting over 200 women from diverse sectors and backgrounds all focused on empowering voices for sustainable change in Bali.

This pivotal gathering aims to highlight the invaluable contributions and leadership of women in the Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) landscape amidst the growing urgency of sustainability issues. The symposium will foster inclusive dialogue, spotlight grassroots initiatives and spotlight the transformative impact of women in sustainability. Attendees will include representatives from grassroots organizations, youth groups, social enterprises, start-ups, foundations, NGOs, and corporate leaders, all coming together to share insights and explore collaborative solutions.

WESS is organized by the Women’s Investment Entrepreneurs Community Indonesia, and will feature engaging speakers, mentors and interactive sessions. The day will include opportunities for knowledge sharing and networking during coffee breaks and a sustainable lunch, culminating with a casual cocktail gathering. In addition, the symposium will support three important charities: IDEP Foundation, Harapan Project Sumbawa and Aksi Peduli Kasih.
